Project Description:

The IoT Smart Window with Light Control is an automated home/office window system that uses IoT sensors and actuators to adjust window blinds or glass tint based on ambient light, temperature, or user preferences. It aims to optimize natural lighting, reduce electricity usage, and enhance comfort and energy efficiency in buildings.

The system is controlled remotely via a web dashboard or mobile app, and includes manual override, scheduling, and auto mode powered by real-time sensor data.


Core Objectives:

  • Automatically open/close blinds or adjust tint based on environmental data.

  • Allow remote control and monitoring via a user-friendly interface.

Key Features:

 1. Smart Sensors Integration

  • Light Sensors (LDR/Photodiode): Detect outside brightness.

  • Temperature Sensor (DHT11/22): Prevent excessive heating from sunlight.

  • Optional Motion Sensor: Open window slightly when someone is in the room.

 2. Automated Window/Tint Control

  • Servo motor or Linear Actuator: Opens/closes window or adjusts blinds.

  • Smart Glass Tinting (Optional): Adjusts opacity based on sunlight intensity.

 3. Web/Mobile Dashboard

  • Display current status: light intensity, temperature, window position.

  • Manual controls: Open, close, partial open.

  • Toggle between Auto Mode and Manual Mode.

  • Set schedules for different times of day.

 4. Data Logging & Analytics

  • Store daily light/temperature patterns.
