Project Overview:

The Student Result Management System is a web-based application designed for schools and colleges to digitally manage student academic records. The system allows the admin to register students, assign subjects, input marks, and generate result cards (PDF) dynamically. Students can be searched by name or roll number, and their marksheet can be viewed or printed.

This system removes manual calculation and paper-based record-keeping, streamlining result generation with accuracy and speed.

User Roles:

1. Admin (Administrator/Staff):

   • Manages student profiles and class information

   • Assigns subjects per class

   • Enters and updates marks

   • Generates result cards (downloadable PDFs)

   • Searches students using roll number or name

   • Views analytics like toppers or subject-wise performance

2. Student (Optional Access Module):

   • Can search by roll number to view/download their report card (optional public view module)

Core Functionalities:

 1. Student Management:

• Add/Edit/Delete student details

  • Name, Roll Number, Gender, Class, Section, Contact Info

• Assign students to a class or section

 2. Subject Management:

• Define subjects for each class (e.g., Math, Science, English)

• Assign subject codes and total marks

3. Marks Entry Module:

• Admin selects a student → enters marks for each subject

• Validates that marks are within total range

• Allows updating marks if re-evaluation occurs

 4. Result Card Generation:

• Automatically calculates:

  • Total Marks

  • Percentage

  • Grade (A/B/C/Fail)

  • Pass/Fail status based on predefined criteria

• Generates downloadable PDF result card using a library like TCPDF or FPDF

 5. Student Search:

• Search by:

  • Roll Number

  • Name

  • Class/Section

• View student profile and result

 6. Analytics Module (Optional):

• Class Toppers

• Subject-wise average performance

• Number of pass/fail students per class
