Project Overview:

The Virtual Queue Management App is a mobile application designed to replace physical waiting lines with digital queues. It enables users to book, monitor, and manage their turn remotely from their mobile devices. This system helps businesses and service providers reduce crowding, improve customer experience, and streamline operations.

It is useful in places like hospitals, clinics, banks, restaurants, salons, government offices, etc., where wait times can be long and physical queues can cause inconvenience or health risks.

1.  User Authentication

  • Login/signup via email or mobile

  • Optional OTP-based login

  • Business users and customers have different dashboards


2.  Real-Time Queue Booking

  • Users select a service location and available time slots

  • Get digital token number and estimated wait time

  • Option to cancel or reschedule token


3.  Location-Based Service Search

  • Users find nearby participating businesses using GPS

  • Filters by category (hospital, bank, salon, etc.)


4.  Live Queue Status Updates

  • Users get real-time notifications when their turn is near

  • Live dashboard with:

    • Current token

    • User's token

    • Time left

  • Optional sound/vibration alerts


5.  Service Provider Dashboard

  • Manage daily token limits and working hours

  • Accept/reject/reschedule appointments

  • Mark tokens as completed, no-show, etc.


6.  Analytics & Reports

  • Admin dashboard shows:

    • Number of users served

    • Average wait time

    • Peak hours

    • No-show rate


7.  Reminders & Alerts

  • Notify users 10–15 mins before their turn

  • Notify business when user arrives or misses slot


8.  Walk-in Token Support (Optional)

  • On-spot users can scan a QR code to join the queue

  • Get digital updates even without prior booking


9.  Multi-Branch Management (For Chains)

 

  • Businesses with multiple outlets can manage queues per location
